PLURIVERSUM – Global South Impulses is a multimedia dialogue format that combines political analysis, personal testimonials, live music, and artistic projections to create an intense overall experience.

The program is intended as a successor to the previous PLURIVERSUM series, but now bears the title PLURIVERSUM – Global South Impulses and represents a deepening of content: The focus is even more strongly on perspectives from the Global South, on concrete practical experiences, and on connecting global impulses with local opportunities for action.

The focus is on intellectuals, activists, researchers, and politicians from different regions of the world who bring global crises, social inequalities, and alternative visions of the future into public dialogue based on their own experiences. The evening will be moderated by Alberto Acosta and journalist Sandra Weiss, both of whom will contribute their own insights. The audience is invited to actively participate in the discussion.

The conversation will be accompanied musically by the Grupo Sal sextet, while visual projections by Johannes Keitel will create an aesthetic resonance space that makes complex global contexts sensually tangible.

The topics will include climate and social justice, rights of nature, indigenous sovereignty, democratic participation, decoloniality, and civil society engagement under repressive conditions – always with the aim of making perspectives from the Global South visible and connecting them with local contexts.

The following day, workshops will deepen the impulses of the evening event and translate them into concrete opportunities for action for civil society and community engagement. Among others, sociologist and author Azize Aslan is expected to be an international guest speaker.
