Diana Carolina Flores Rojas is a PhD student in Sociology at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) and holds a degree in Communication for Development. After her Bachelor’s degree at the PUCP, she completed a Master’s degree in Public Policy in Flacso, Ecuador and a Master’s degree in Biodiversity and Ecosystem Management at the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos.
She has extensive experience in political communication, social movements and popular education. She specializes in political and environmental communication, addressing them in terms of political analytical aspects and facilitating inter-learning spaces. From the fall of 2021, she practiced for six months as a political communication specialist in an advisory capacity at the Lima Council of Ministers. She is also involved in various foundations and institutions, such as the Broederlijk Delen VZW, Red Muqui and several others. Among other things, she provides comprehensive advice on environmental and development policy, the rights of nature, animals and people.
Rojas also taught communication strategies, thesis seminars and internships in public relations as a professor at the Universidad Nacional de Altiplano. For her, it is of great value not only to develop herself professionally, but also to have the privilege of being able to pass on her knowledge at a university in her country. She is currently researching bioindicators, rural youth, social change and animal policy.
